My understanding of hormonal disorders isn’t only professional. For decades, I’ve also watched my own daughter live with severe PCOS and Stage IV Endometriosis, and that experience changed the way I listen to women who arrive here frustrated after years of being told to simply live with their symptoms. I don’t say that to make this about me. I say it because it’s part of why I don’t dismiss what a patient tells me about her own body, even when it doesn’t fit a textbook description.

I expanded into Georgia after decades of practice in South Florida, to make that experience available to women throughout Georgia and neighboring states who didn’t have easy access to it. Hormonal hair, PCOS, and Black-skin-specific care aren’t niche concerns — they’re common, and they deserve a provider who treats them every week, not occasionally.

What’s Treated Here

PCOS and hormonal facial hair sit at the center of what I treat here — the hair itself is a symptom of an underlying hormonal pattern, and I explain the full mechanism, including insulin resistance’s role in it, on that page. Insulin resistance specifically deserves its own deeper page on this site, and that’s real work I still have ahead of me — for now, I address it directly as part of the PCOS picture, since the two are so closely connected. Teenage-onset facial hair gets the same real evaluation as an adult case, handled with extra care for how young the patient is and how the conversation happens with a parent present. Hidradenitis Suppurativa is a condition I take seriously from the very first visit, because I don’t believe in waiting to treat it seriously until it’s already become severe. And ingrown hairs, often connected to the same curly and coily hair patterns I see constantly in this practice, get treated as the mechanical, explainable problem they actually are — not a hygiene failure, and never something I’d tell a Black or dark-skinned client to simply keep managing indefinitely.

Why This Location Is Different

Laser hair removal on Black and dark skin is not the same procedure as laser hair removal on light skin, and treating it as though it is causes real harm — burns, missed results, and women who walk away believing laser simply “doesn’t work” for them, when what actually failed was the equipment or the settings, not their skin. I built this location around getting that right, every time, and around treating teenagers with the same seriousness as adults rather than telling them to simply wait it out.

What Makes Eva Different

For more than four decades, I have focused specifically on pigmentation, hormonal facial hair, electrolysis, and the treatment of darker and diverse skin tones — not as one service among many, but as the actual center of my work. I still perform every treatment myself. There is no rotating staff here, no technician you meet once and never see again; if you come to this location, you are treated by me, every time.
