People ask me why I do this work so personally.

The truth is, once you’ve sat beside your own child through something like what my daughter went through — PCOS at fourteen, Stage IV Endometriosis by the time she was grown, nineteen surgeries across more than 30 years — you don’t know how to treat anyone else’s daughter, or anyone at all, any other way. I bought my first laser because I wanted to ease just one part of what she was carrying. I couldn’t take away her diagnosis. I could learn to do this one thing well, for her.

My early training taught me technique — the kind that only comes from years of hands-on repetition, not a weekend certification. My daughter gave me the reason to spend the next forty years pointing that technique at one specific problem: skin and hair that hormones won’t leave alone, on the skin tones most equipment was never built to treat safely.

I still see every client myself. Not because I haven’t grown enough to hire help, but because I remember exactly what it felt like when someone finally looked at her and really saw what she was dealing with, instead of rushing her through an appointment. I don’t want anyone to leave my clinic feeling like I rushed them through theirs.

Over the past 40 years, that’s meant thousands of consultations — most of them for facial hair, dark marks, and the hormonal skin and hair changes that come with PCOS, menopause, endometriosis, and conditions like it. The same territory I first learned by watching my daughter live through it.

What I’ve built isn’t a clinic that happens to have a website. It’s meant to work as one place — an institute, really — where a woman can learn what’s actually happening in her body, understand why treatments she’s tried before may have failed her, find the specific tool built for her hair and her skin tone, and know she’s dealing with someone who has spent forty years paying attention to exactly this. Education, treatment, products, and the Academy all come from the same forty years of pattern-recognition; I don’t think of them as separate departments, and I don’t want you to have to either.

I also started training other estheticians, through my Academy, because this way of treating melanin-rich, hormonally-affected skin shouldn’t only exist in one clinic. It should exist everywhere women need it.
